Graveside services for Monte Harris, 51, of Hughes Springs will be 2 P.M. Thursday, May 28 at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Hughes Springs with John Edward Pease officiating under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Harris was born October 22, 1957 in Dallas and passed away Sunday, May 24 at his residence. He enjoyed working on cars and loved camping and visiting Alligator Park. He was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law Brandon and Nicolette Harris of Houston; two daughters and sons-in-law Courtney and Davien Pendley of Hughes Springs and Ashley and Justin Barton of Marietta; his mother Dorris Harris of Hughes Springs; one brother and sister-in-law Bo and Debbie Harris of Hughes Springs; eight grandchildren Kody Harris, Brandon Harris, Scotty Harris, Jordan Pendley, Kylar Pendley and Dillan Pendley and Casey Barton and Trevor Barton. He was preceded in death by his father Carl S. Harris, Jr.
