Funeral services Narcissie Mitchell Johnson, 97, of Omaha, will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Omaha First Baptist Church with Rev. T. Fagan officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc., of Hughes Springs. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday February 24, 2012 at the funeral home. Mrs. Johnson was born August 1, 1914 to Elmo and Anna Mitchell and passed away February 21, 2012 in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Narcissie was an active member of Omaha First Baptist Church, Omaha, Texas. She served in many areas and continued her services until her health began to fail. She worked both outside the home and in the home. She served many from her kitchen and believed in feeding the hungry. She was a loving mother, a wonderful sister, a house wife, and a mother to her siblings. She was a grandmother and great-great grandmother. She leaves a legacy of 5 generations. She was the first born of eight children. Narcissie was married to Sam Johnson and to this union 12 children were born. Preceding her in death are her father and mother; husband; six children William Johnson, Samuel Johnson, Frank Johnson, Othell (Johnson) Cramer, Novell (Johnson) Lockett, Hattie (Johnson) Harris ; one step-son Ray Sam Johnson; 11 grandchildren; four brothers Earnest Mitchell, Terry Mitchell, William Mitchell, John W. Mitchell; and two sisters Fannie M. Davis, and Margretha (Mitchell) Jones. She leaves to cherish her memory one son R. J. (Wilma) Johnson , of Naples, TX; five daughters Thelma Johnson , of Omaha, TX, Maurine (Eddie) Johnson , of Miami, FL, Cubie Johnson-Crawford , of Dallas, TX, Winnie (Johnson) Reed, of Ft. Worth, TX, Shirley Anderson , of Ft. Worth, TX; and one sister Hattie Mitchell Holloman, of Naples, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She accepted God's undeniable love at an early age. She was a virtuous woman. For we know that "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. II Corinthians 5:8".
