Services for Nellie Rhene McIntyre, 86, of Hughes Springs will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 27, 2007 at First United Methodist Church, Hughes Springs with the Revs. Bluford Weikel, Ralph Hale, and Durwood Bristow officiating. Burial services conducted by the Order of Eastern Star will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. Mrs. McIntyre will lie in honor at the funeral home Thursday afternoon and evening, and the family will receive friends after 6 p.m. Mrs. McIntyre passed away Monday, April 23, at a Longview hospital. She was born September 9, 1920 in Hughes Springs. She was a Methodist, a Sunday School teacher, a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star, past Worthy Matron, and an election judge. She is survived by: two sons and a daughter-in-law Wes and Kathy McIntyre of Lake O' the Pines, and John McIntyre of Longview; two daughters and three sons-in-law Rita and Walter Mars of Daingerfield, and Marilynn and Bryan Lee and Ray and Nancy Collins, all of Hughes Springs; 16 grandchildren Gregg, Gary and Grant Mars; Wes Jr., Wade, Wiley, Whitney, Lea, Matthew, Kathryn and John Michael Jr. McIntyre; Andrea Collins Price, Mechelle Collins McKinney, Melissa Collins Young, Janie McKinney and Janice Nolan. Also 26 great-grandchildren Joey, Jason, Taylor, Devin, Makenzie and Rylie Mars; Taylor, Madie, Emma, Zach, and Amber McIntyre; Ashley Poole; Jessica Bristow; Abbye Gale, Emma Grace, Isabella Adriana, Kurt, Julie and Blake McKinney; Nicholas and Brendan Price; Kiefer and Kyler Young; and Michael, Robbie and Andy Nolan and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph "Jo-Jo", her daughter Barbara Collins and her parents Wiley and Lillian Summerlin. Memorials may be made to Hughes Springs First United Methodist music system fund and the Hughes Springs Order of the Eastern Star piano fund.
