Patsy Sue Scoggins Boger was born October 6, 1941 in Mt. Pleasant Texas.  She passed away on December 24, 2020 in Longview TX.  She is proceeded in death by her parents Jennings and Ruby Scoggins; her previous husband Fred T Boger; and her great grandson Noah Deets.  She is survived by her daughters Donna Deets and husband Daniel Deets, Michelle Edwards and husband Craig Edwards; her sons Bryian Boger and wife Sue Boger, and Mark Boger; and sister Virginia Harris and husband Elwin Harris.

She is survived by her grandchildren James Deets and wife Ashley, Jessica Murphy and husband Matthew, Michael Boger and wife Ashley, Steven Thorne, Amanda White and husband Damon, Staci Thorne and Matthew Boger; three great-grandsons and; nine great-granddaughters.

Patsy graduated from Daingerfield High School in 1960 and dearly loved all her classmates.  She remained active in the reunion group as long as she was able.  She was a member of First Baptist Church Ore City where she was active in the Nursery.  She loved the children that she cared for as her own.  Patsy loved her family and friends fiercely.  She also was a huge fan of music, westerns, books and Nascar. 

Visitation will be Tuesday December 29, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. with funeral services following at 1:00 pm at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Ore City.  She will be laid to rest at Winfield Cemetery.

  1. Mom, I know you are dancing with Jesus and singing your favorite songs with the Angels. You taught me how to love unconditionally, never go to sleep angry and how to boil water. Our conversations were the highlight of my days and you always gave some of the best advice. Until I see you again, love you with all my heart. Shelly

  3. Dear sweet momma. It was a long hard road with Alzheimer’s but you fought it like a champ. I thank you with all my heart for the life lessons you passed on. You have always been my champion and I love you dearly for that. Thank you for teaching us the value and love of family and friends.

    We will miss you so very much but I know where you are and I’m positive you will be looking over us. My heart aches so very much at the moment and only time can heal that. You will always be my rock and we will remember all the little silly and quirky things you have done in the past.

    Fly hi my sweet Ladybug and give everyone a big ole hug from us. We will see again when we are called home.
