LINDEN Funeral services for Verner Paul Hamilton, 83, of Jefferson will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday May 28, 2010 at Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home, Inc. in Linden with Bro. Geno Muns officiating. Burial will be in Linden Cemetery. A visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Hamilton was born in Linden to Willie Davis and Mary Lucile Wilson Hamilton on January 11, 1927. He passed away in a Jefferson nursing center, Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Mr. Hamilton was a fire fighter for 38 yrs at Longhorn Army Ammunition Plant, served at the Pentagon as a sergeant in the U.S. Army, was a member of Jefferson Masonic Lodge #38, and a Baptist. He is survived by his wife, Edna of Jefferson; two sons, Paul W. Hamilton and wife, Lottie, of Ore City and Dennis Hamilton of Harleton; one daughter, Alicia Ann Fallis and husband, Richard, of Keithville, Louisiana; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald Taylor and Mary Lou Hamilton of Alto, New Mexico and Kenneth Red and Bobbye Hamilton of Linden; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; plus a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
