Funeral services for Ms. Precious Denise Gregory, age 36, of Lone Star, Texas, are currently pending with Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.  Ms. Gregory passed away Saturday, September 21, 2024, in Dallas, Texas.

Precious Denise Gregory was born on March 18, 1988 in Los Angeles, California. She was affectionately known as “Pea Baby” or “Pea.”

She had moved to Marietta, Texas in 1998 with her family from California. She attended and graduated from Linden-Kildare High School in Linden, Texas in 2007. Precious was a devoted caregiver and friend to those who knew her. She spent her entire life caring for other whether it was through her occupation or her divine culinary skills.

Precious was preceded in death by her father, Percy Lee Gregory, and one brother, Percy Lee Gregory Jr. She leaves behind her mother, Vivian Denise Powell (Mt. Pleasant, Tx.), Roy Jenell Gregory (Hughes Springs, Texas), and one nephew, Kingston Dean Gregory. Even though she did not have any children of her own, she facilitated with the personal care of her nephew.

Precious leaves behind numerous family members and friends to mourn her death. The family wants to recognize and express their deepest gratitude to those who were assisting in any way possible to Lumesha Hawkins, Kay Bolden, Ashia Hatten, and Nakeisha Gardner for being of service in this time of need.

    • Candle 6Precious was a light within the darkness. We both came from large cities and she help me to adjust when I moved to Kildare from Houston my senior year of highschool. We kept in touch after graduation, and she would always be the first to show support for each of my educational accolades. We need more people like Precious in our lives. What a phenomenal person to have known; the laughter we shared will be cherished forever.

  3. Precious cared for me and my husband for about 6 years but we became very close. Many mornings I woke up to her coming in the front door, even letting herself in if we were asleep. She will always be remembered as part of our family. I love her so very much. I will always be so grateful for her. Her smile lit up the room and her laughter was contagious. Missing her like crazy but knowing that for all who know Jesus, we will see each other again! Our love to Roy and Vivian.

I knew precious through working hand in hand with her and when I say it was never a dull moment with her she is literally the life of any party was going to tell you just how she felt did not play about her nephew and she always made herself available if you needed her I’ll never forget the memories the times that I had with her. Like I’m just in disbelief and shocked precious I’m going to miss you my friend but you save a spot for me until we meet again I love you gal! This one here hit really hard and different but it brings me comfort knowing in her last couple of weeks I got to tell her I loved her every time we talked, and I told her how much she meant to me. We laughed and joked like always and I’m gonna miss that the most. Friend I will mourn you till I join you I love you “P”Baby!
