Randy and his family were a big part of my childhood growing up in the Concord community.
He was a good friend and a Morgan cousin.
Rest in peace my friend.
Mark Morgan
So many of my childhood memories are of my time spent with Randy and Keith in Hughes Springs—from many Christmas breaks and lots of summer fun to going to Austin to watch the State Basketball game! Sending love to Pam, Keith, your mom, your kids, and your grandkids. You will be missed, but I am thankful you have been made whole again.
I was born into the large Morgan family and I have countless memories of days spent with my cousins. Randy and Keith taught me lots of things about the country life and phrases like “calf slobber “. ❤️
We were sorry to hear about the passing of your loved one. We are praying for you and your family with deepest sympathy, Jesse, and Joyce Hicks.
Rest in peace!
We were early childhood best friends… I think a lot of people make that claim. That’s the kind of person Randy was. His small stature betrayed the magnitude of his heart. We spent countless hours day after day, year after year playing together and learning how to navigate life. His gift seemed to be to excel at everything. He taught me how to ride a horse and a steer (not so well), milk a cow, how to pole vault and do the “Fosbury Flop”. He also taught, in no uncertain terms, that HE was the only one eligible to pick on his little brother.
In our glory years, we both carried the ball in the backfield, passed the baton on the relay team, and sprinted the 100-yard dash. Last Friday, he crossed the finish line ahead of me… again. Well done, my friend, you ran a great race, as always. I will catch up with you some glorious day.
So sorry to hear about the passing of Randy, I know he will be greatly missed. My dad, Johnny Hodges, sure thought the world of him. I bet there was a joyful welcome home reception for Randy as he entered the gates of heaven. Sending my deepest sympathies to the entire Morgan family.
So sorry for your loss.
