LINDEN Funeral services for Renee McDuffie Anderson, 56, of Kilgore will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 5, 2009, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home, Inc., in Linden with Bro. Harry Lagrone officiating. Burial will be in Cave Springs Cemetery. A visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday, at the funeral home. Ms. Anderson was born September 24, 1952, in Atlanta, Texas, to S.D. Dutch and Norma Jean Harris McDuffie. She went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ, Sunday, August 2, 2009 in Kilgore after a long, hard fought battle with ovarian cancer. She worked for Alcatel and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Kilgore. She was a talented artist, loved to cook, sew and was an avid Dallas Cowboy and Texas Rangers fan. Survivors include a son, Aaron David Anderson of Lakeport; a daughter, Anitra Lynn Anderson of Longview; her mother, Norma Jean McDuffie of Kilgore; a grandson, Jonathon Myers of Longview; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Austin of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two uncles, Tony McDuffie and wife, Jeanette of Linden, and James O. Harris of Longview; two aunts, Willa Dean Harris of Linden and Bonnie McDuffie of Atlanta; and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father. The family would like to thank Beacon Hospice for all their care and support and to all her friends who have been so caring during this time.

  1. Renee was such a sweet person and always had a nice word to share with me. I really felt like she reached out and included me in her extended family and that was such a blessing to me. I am greatful I got have her in my life even for just a few years.
