LINDEN, TX-. Funeral services for Ricky Joe Murry, 47, of Linden will be held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in the chapel of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home in Linden with Pastor Kris Toney officiating. Interment will be in Zion Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Monday at the funeral home. Ricky Joe was born April 28, 1963 in Dallas, Texas to Joe Hamill Murry and Nancy Farmer Murry. He passed away Friday, April 22, 2011 in a Linden hospital. He was employed by Sidco Mining Co. and was a Baptist. Ricky loved to fish, hunt and ride horses. . He is survived by his wife, Tina Maurine Murry of Linden; three sons, Jeffrey Murry of Linden, Kris Toney and wife, Andrea Ruth of Royce City and Marty Christensen of Sherman; his father and step-mother, Joe and Yvonda Murry of Murchison; his mother, Nancy Russell of Richardson; two brothers, Johne Meuir of Dallas, and Johnny Nix of Tyler; three sisters and two brothers-in law, Deborah and Israel Taguilas of Richardson, and Jodie Lynn Kalas and Brent of Ben Wheeler, Linda Meuir of Dallas; his grandfather, Joe Bailey Murry; two grand daughters, Baily Marie Murry and Elizabeth Claire Toney; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Baily Rey Murry and step-father, Rusty Russell.

  6. We are still in shock at the news of Ricky's death. Even after he moved, we stayed in touch. He was such a delight to be around. That heavy accent (to us here in Weatherford, Texas) was so fun to listen to and at times try to interpret. Oh he will be so missed. Our sympathy to each and every friend and family member.

  13. We had the honor of having Rick at our home on easter Sunday a couple of years ago… We all ate, hunted eggs, yes even Rick hunted them and rode horses… Great memory…. Rick was a very awesome guy to everyone, super nice person, who will be greatly missed.. Praying for the family. God Bless
