Robert Morriss Sheffield peacefully passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021.  He was born September 29, 1941 in Linden, Texas.  He worked in sales for many years and later owned his own roustabout business in Andrews, Texas.  Robert enjoyed many hobbies including hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Hershel and Beulah Sheffield; sister and brother-in-law Myra Jo and Bob Daniel; sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Morgan Hampton; brother and sister-in-law Howard and Bertha Sheffield; brother and sister-in-law E.H. and Peggy Sheffield, and in-laws Howard and Linnie Tramel.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Debby Tramel Sheffield; daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Guy Staton of San Angelo, Texas; daughter and son-in-law Kami and Jay Hyer of Andrews, Texas; grandchildren Danley Hyer Bailey, Sean Bailey, Hudson Hyer, Isaac Sheffield Staton, numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial will be held on Saturday, September 18th at 11:00 A.M. at the Linden Cemetery in Linden, Texas.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of San Angelo or the American Cancer Society.

  3. I was so sorry to hear of the passing of this good man. There was no kinder and gentler soul I ever knew than Robert. Robert taught me how to fish in my teen years and is the reason I love fishing today and teach my son about it .I'll never forget you Robert

  5. May you rest in peace my friend, my 12-year classmate, and my ‘first cousin-in-law’. Robert Sheffield was as fine a man as ever was. He always had a smile, a warm welcome, and was kind and cheerful. He will be missed by many. Margie and I send our warmest thoughts and prayers for Debby and their entire extended family.
