Resided in: Ore City, Texas

Robert Wade Wright, 65, of Ore City, passed away on April 2, 2026.

Robert was born October 24, 1960, in Freeport, Texas, to Ralph and Audrey Wright. He was the kind of man who never had a bad word to say about anyone and was truly a friend to all. If you knew Robert, you loved him, it was just that simple.

He was a man his children looked up to in every way. He showed them what it meant to work hard, treat people right, and take care of your family. Robert spent many years working as a master electrician, alongside a group of co-workers who became lifelong friends.

More than anything, Robert loved his family. He enjoyed getting everyone together, whether it was for a meal, a visit, or just time spent laughing. He loved fishing, playing a good game of 42, and relaxing with an occasional cold beer. Those simple moments meant the most to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Audrey Wright; his sisters, Karen and Brenda; and his grandson, JJ, who was there to welcome him home.

Robert is survived by his children, Jacob Wade Wright and wife Amanda, Simon Wright and wife Bobbie, Aaron Wright and wife Dixie, and Sierra Wright Talley and wife Jessica; his grandchildren, Britnee, Ondra Rose, Brance, Marisa, Adriana, Axton, Maximus, Brandi, Slayden, Gracie, and Brennan; his great-grandchildren, Blakely and Layla; his brother, Raymond; and his sister, Lisa.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service honoring Robert’s life at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Cedar Springs Baptist Church

Arrangements are under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.
