Funeral services for Roger Lewis, Sr., 61, of Hughes Springs will be at 2 PM on Sunday, October 11th at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs with Revs. Carlton Watkins, Doug Grainger, Jeff Jones, Myram and Dorothy Thomas, Michael Taylor, Bobby Proctor, Eugene Arnold and J.P. Burks officiating. Interment will be in Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Lewis was born on September 14, 1948 in Paducah, TX to R.B. and Johnnie Lewis and died on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at a Longview hospital. Mr. Lewis was a US Marine. Survivors include his wife Regina of 41 years; one son Roger Lewis, Jr. of Hughes Springs; one daughter Amanda King of Hughes Springs; three sisters Marilyn Young, Kim Brink and Nancy Bowers all of Hughes Springs; mother Johnnie Lewis of Hughes Springs; six grandchildren Chandler and Austin King, Zachary Blythe, Erica, Cooper and Tinley Lewis. Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his father R.B. Lewis. Mr. Lewis will lie in state on Saturday, October 10th and the family will receive friends from 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Hughes Springs.
