Ronald Lee Burgerson of Lone Star, Texas, was born July 31, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois, and passed away on February 15, 2018, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Ronald attended TCU and UT Arlington. He retired as a Vice President of Friedman Industries, Incorporated after 51 years of dedicated service. He was passionate about all sports, especially Daingerfield Tiger football, where he was a season ticket holder for 40 years.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Bob Burgerson and wife, Granny Sam; son, Lindsey; and mother and father-in-law, Louise and Esque Foster.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Edna Burgerson; children, Randall Burgerson and wife Deb of Ft Worth, Texas, and Rony Hill and husband Barry of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren, Amber, Kenzie, and Ransom; great grandchildren, Roman and Alaina.

Edna and the family would like to thank Titus Regional Medical Center staff and Cypress Basin Hospice for their loving care.

Flowers may be sent to Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Cypress Basin Hospice, the National Parkinson’s Foundation or Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

A Celebration of Ronald’s life will be held Wednesday evening, February 21, 2018 from 6:00 until 9:00pm at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.
