LINDEN-Funeral services for Ronald Dale Gilbert, 62, of Linden, will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 12, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Linden with Bros. Bryan Baggett, Mark Price, and Jay Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in Linden Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home, Inc. A visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Gilbert was born September 17, 1946 in Linden to Ralph and Lou Neva Parker Gilbert and he passed away September 5, 2009 in Jackson, Tennessee. He was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, was a respiratory therapist and a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Joy Gilbert of Linden; three sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Kristy Gilbert of The Woodlands, Mark and Renee Gilbert of Tyler, and Clay and Kristen Gilbert of Ft. Worth; his mother, Lou Neva Gilbert of Jefferson; one brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Kathy Gilbert of Linden; five grandchildren, Kieffer, Jacob, Joshua, Bryan, and Taylor; and a host of family and friends.

  4. Clay and Mark,I can not imagine what you guys are going through. Your father was a good man. What I remember the most about your father was how big of a supporter he was at everything you did. I can remember seeing him at every football, basketball, and baseball game you guys played in. I hope I can be half the father to my children as he was to you.
