Services to honor the life of Mr. Roy Lee Mitchell, 68, of Atlanta, Texas, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2026, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
Roy Lee Mitchell was born on August 24, 1958. He passed away peacefully on September 20, 2026, in Texarkana.
Roy was a hardworking man who spent his career as a cement finisher and in building houses. He took pride in his work and in providing for those he loved.
Family was especially important to Roy. He loved spending time playing with his grandchildren, and he treasured the moments shared with them. In his free time, Roy enjoyed fishing, watching football, Law & Order, Columbo, and western movies.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Rosie Kidd; his sons, Christopher (Darnisha) Dickerson and Edgar Kidd; his stepdaughter, Tiara Bell; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other family members and loved ones who will remember him fondly.
Roy’s memory will live on through the family he loved, the lives he touched, and the many moments they shared together.
