Funeral services for Jack Rustin Russ Fite, Jr., 56, of Hughes Springs will be at 10 AM on Friday, February 5, 2010 at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs with Rev. Ralph Hale officiating. Interment will be at Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Fite was born September 24, 1953 in Corpus Christi to Jack Rustin Fite, Sr. and Johnnyrea Luker Fite and died on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at his residence. Survivors include one sister Beth Fite of Pasadena, CA; one brother and sister-in-law Gregg and Michelle Fite of Corpus Christi; one nephew Cory Rustin Fite of New Braunfels, TX; two aunts Gladene Fite of Dallas, TX and Mary Joyce Welch of Hughes Springs, TX; numerous cousins. Mr. Fite was preceded in death by his parents. Donations may be made to the Hughes Springs Library Foundation in honor of Russ Fite. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 4th and the family will recieve friends from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the funeral home in Hughes Springs. Online condolences can be made to www.reeder-davis.com.

  1. We were so saddened to hear of Russ's passing. He was such a blessing to so many folks in this town I so admired his courage and will power. He will surely be missed, but he has gone on to his glory! God bless Russ and God bless you.
