Services R.V. Wallace, 89, of Hughes Springs will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday January 5, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Hughes Springs with Rev. Larry Neeley officiating. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery in Hughes Springs under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Wallace was born August 12, 1920 Cass County, Texas. She died Saturday, January 2 at a Linden hospital. She was a school teacher at Hughes Springs ISD for 26 years, having earned bachelor and masters degrees at East Texas State University, and she belonged to the First Baptist Church of Hughes Springs. She is survived by one son, John P. Wallace of Hughes Springs; one daughter Joan Tomberlain of Omaha; six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Finis Wallace, her daughter Kay Tate and her grand daughter Tammy Gardener.

  10. RV was such a kind wonderful person. She will always be "Granny" to me. Cassie always said if she was Misti and Jamie's Granny then she was hers also. I know all of you will miss her.
