Services for Mrs. Sandra “Sandy” Kay Cato, age 80, of Daingerfield, Texas, will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2025 in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.

Sandy passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024 in Daingerfield.  Born on May 18, 1944, to Charles and Esther Wooldridge, Sandy lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to her family and community.

Sandy devoted over 25 years of service to the U.S. Postal Service, where she was known for her reliability and warm smile. Outside of her career, Sandy found her greatest joy in her family, cherishing time spent with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Babies always brought a special light to her life, and her love for them was boundless. She also enjoyed the quiet pleasures of reading and the lively moments spent with her family.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Esther Wooldridge, and her grandson, Chad Bryan. She is survived by her loving children, Christine Gaspard and husband Kelvin, Bobby Avant and wife Betty, Debbie Vaught and husband Doug, Angie Perry, and Liz Bryan and husband Gene; and her brother, Bryan Wooldridge and wife, Kathleen.  “Nana” will be deeply missed by her 18 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends who loved her dearly.
