Graveside services for Ms. Shirley McClung, 75, of Kaufman, Texas, will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2026, at Kildare Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

In Loving Memory of Shirley Ann McDonald McClung

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Ann McDonald McClung, age 75, born March 24, 1951, whose love, strength, and kindness will forever remain in our hearts. She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love. Daughters: Donde Ladner, Stacy Carruth and Gus Raney, Brandy and Jerry Armstrong.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Pauline Cook and Robert “Bob” McDonald; her brothers, Glenn and Bobby McDonald, Jerry Heffstaedler; her sister, Joanne McDonald; and her son-in-law, Patrick Ladner.

She leaves behind a beautiful family who will continue to honor her memory: her grandchildren, Summer and her husband David Kimball, Jesse and his wife Alisa Ladner, Tia Castellano and Frankie Maestas, Dylan Castellano, Blake Castellano, Ashley and her husband Joe Zmolik, Casey Armstrong, and Michael Ladner. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Landyn Castellano, Jason, Colton, and Jacob Maestas, Ialee Castellano, Jesse and Charlie Kimball, Allie and Eli Ladner, and Parker and Jolee Zmolik.

Her greatest joy in life was her family and owning Playful Puppies Plus. She gave her love freely, offered strength when it was needed most, and created memories that will be treasured forever. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace and reunited with those who went before her.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
