Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. To all – We will always remember the kindness, hospitality, and faith of Aunt Swanee. I remember all the times she put us up in her house and prepared so many meals for us when we came to visit (my favorite was the corn…) Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you remember and honor her this week. We're so sorry we can't be there, but know that we are praying for you all. Love, Scott, Carrie, Ethan and Eli

  2. It seems to me that while every individual should be honored at his or her passing, Aunt Swanee for her character deserves a special kind and degree of honor, which I'm sure will be expressed this week as her children (and grandchildren) "rise up and call her blessed."

  3. In loving memory of my grandma. Many, many good times we had. You will be greatly missed. I love you and will see you again.

  4. What an honor for me to call her "Grandma." I remember the day Russ told me that I was the only girl to travel the road to Grandma's house! She made me feel part of the family that day, and I fell in love with Russell Hollis that afternoon as I watched him care for her. She took part in raising a wonderful son, grandson, husband and Daddy. Oh what a homecoming she is experiencing!

  5. Mrs. hollis is such a sweet spirit and she will be deeply missed. My deepest thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of her family members.

  6. Betty and family, You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Miss Swanee was a very sweet lady. Love, Jeanie

  7. Your testimony and your faithfulness to our Lord traveled farther than you ever knew and will continue to have an exponential impact. We know you were greeted with, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."

  8. I am truly sorry for the sadness the family is experiencing at Aunt Swanee's passing, but I am glad for her. I know that it has been so long since she has seen her beloved Mama and Papa Kay, and I am glad that she is together again with her loved ones. Praise the Lord for the victory he gives us in Jesus Christ! As I think about Aunt Swanee and the other Kay girls (including my Granny), I can't help but think that they "don't make them like they used to"!

  9. Russell, Been thinking of you and Grandma all day. I Know how much see meant to you. Remember the good times. Love your father-in-law. Paul

  10. As I mourn the loss of Aunt Swanee I also remember the times that I spent with her, and how she always made me feel so loved. I will always remember visiting her home in the summer. She was always cooking and canning something, and she loved every minute of it. What a great person to have known for such a long time. Now she is in heaven proudly sitting watching as her family honors her in such a loving way. May she rest in eternal peace.

  11. I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. I know how very special she was to your family. I will remember you all in my prayers.

  12. Betty and family-was very sorry to learn of Mrs. Hollis passing. I'm sure she will be missed greatly by all of you. Just know you ALL are in my prayers. Linda
