Graveside services for Thomas Denton Anderson, 71, of Longview will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 2, 2012 at Hughes Springs Cemetery. Tom was born August 5, 1940 in Paris and passed away Friday, December 30 after a sudden illness. After graduating from Hughes Springs High School he made his home in Longview where he had a life long career as a Building Contractor. Tom enjoyed life to the fullest and was blessed by countless friends and family who loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Sarah Anderson; brothers Jack and Duane Doc Anderson; sister Isla Kasling and baby daughter Renee Anderson. Left to cherish his memory is his son and daughter-in-law Rick and Cindy Anderson; daughter and son-in-law Kim and Kirk Gibson of Texarkana; his loving sister and brother-in-law Jody and Carol Leftwich of Hughes Springs; brother-in-law Mayo Kasling of Hughes Springs and sister-in-law Eula Bell Anderson of Lone Star . Toms grandson, Spencer Anderson, was his pride and joy. Tom loved cheering for Spencer during baseball and football games. He is also survived by grandsons Ryan and Mason Davis of Texarkana; and granddaughter Claire Gibson of Texarkana.

I always enjoyed visiting with Tom @ the paint store. I never worked with him or even saw him anywhere else except Kelly-Moore, but when he was there, he was a pleasure to talk to.
I smile when I think of Tommy. He was always so full of life and a joy to be around.I know he will be missed by many.
