Funeral services Thurman E. Larkins, 73, of Longview will be 10:00 A.M. Monday June 8, 2009 at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs with Bro. Ron Dyess officiating. Burial will follow at Veal Switch Cemetery in Hughes Springs under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Larkins was born July 6, 1935 in Grayson County, Texas and passed away Friday, June 5 in Longview. He was a Pumper in the oil field industry, served in the National Guard for two terms and loved hunting and fishing. He is survived by six sons and four daughters-in-law Chad E. Larkins and Chris A. Larkins both of Longview, Jerry E. and Judy Pemberton of Daingerfield, Richard L. and Dottie Pemberton and Ronald and Betty Pemberton all of Maude and Bobby and Gay Pemberton of Hughes Springs; a daughter and son-in-law Shuanna and Wayne Galloway of Denison; a brother Bobby Larkins of Denison; a sister Janelle Johnson of Witchita, KS; 15 grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Bobbie Larkins; a twin brother Sherman Larkins; his father Perry Larkins and his mother Cynthia Polson. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday evening at the funeral home.

I am so glad that Bayleigh and Ryleigh got to share in some of memories so they too will remember what a great Grandfather they had.
