August 2, 1959 ~ December 23, 2011
Funeral services for Timothy Paul Allen, 52, of Hughes Springs will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 27, at Hughes Chapel Baptist Church in Hughes Springs with Dr. Maurice McMillion officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Hughes Springs under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Timothy Paul Allen will be truly missed by all that loved him. He was born on August 2, 1959 to the parents of the late M.D. Allen, Sr. and Honolulu Givens Allen. He was preceded in death by his dad, M.D. Allen, Sr.; a sister Johnnye and a brother Larry. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. This is the thought that we his family hold in our hearts as we go through this time of loss. He is survived by his son Tim of Linden; a daughter Kim of Tyler; his mother Honolulu Allen of Hughes Springs; five brothers Ronald (Gertrude) of Waco, M.D., Jr. of Clarksville, TN, Roy of Houston, Douglas (Mary) of San Diego, CA and Lawrence (Renee) of Dallas; one sister Nancy (Jeffery) of Chesapeake, VA; two uncles Unis and Benjamin (Rose Marie) Allen of Pasco WA; two aunts Elvira Stephens of Portland, OR and Hazel Jones of Los Angeles, CA. After graduating from high school, Timothy joined the United States Navy where he served as an Aviation Mechanic. Upon his discharge from the service he moved back to Hughes Springs where he worked for the Hughes Springs ISD as a custodian and Trico Lumber Co. until his health began to fail. He was a child of God and rededicated his life to Christ in 2008. He was an active member of the Hughes Chapel Baptist Church where he was currently serving as Deacon and Church Clerk. Timothy fought a good fight and now he rests with the Creator; the One who loves him the most. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

Cousin Tim it was a pleasure to work with you on the Pleasant Hill Reunion Committee. It won't be the same without you. We loved your quiet and unassuming attitude. I never once heard you complain or speak negative about anyone. I love you for that. You are now forever healed and in the presence of God!

Hey Tim, you will be missed. You know they always sat us alphbetically in school, you were always in front of me in class & we either shared a locker or your was beside mine. I'll never forget you, you always were smiling & making some kind of joke. You never judged anyone. One of the kindest souls I have ever known. Peace now my friend. And to your family, I pray God's comforting arms around them knowing someday we will all meet again. God Speed Tim. With love & respect, Connie Hodges (Amox)
