Tona Ellison

Graveside services for Tona Ellison, 71, of Hughes Springs, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Sardis Cemetery in Hughes Springs under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.

Tona Ellison passed away Friday, April 17, 2026, at her home. She was born June 24, 1954, in Hughes Springs to Howell and Mary Bruce Hughes.

Tona dedicated over 33 years of her life as a registered nurse, where she was known for her compassion and genuine love for caring for others. Her kindness and servant’s heart touched many lives throughout her career. Above all, she cherished her family and the time she spent with them.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jamey and Katie Marie Reyes Ellison; her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and William Otis; seven grandchildren; a grandson she helped raise, William Otis, Jr.; one sister, Glenda Driver; two nephews, Roger Cook and Russell Cook; one niece, Robbie Heller; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Ellison; her parents; and two sons, Jeff Ellison and Christopher Ellison.
