Funeral services for Warren "Hardy' Hamilton will be on Wednesday, December 23 at 2 PM at Shady Grove Christian Church in Cason. Interment will be at Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 22 afternoon and evening at the funeral home in Hughes Springs. Bro. Warren Hardy Hamilton was born January 14, 1922 in Cason, Texas to the parentage of the late Joe & Pearl Hamilton and died on Friday, December 18th at a Pittsburg hospital. He united with the Shady Grove Christian Church at an early age and served as a Senior Elder until his illness; therefore unable to attend church services but his thoughts and his heart was always there. He received his education from Rosenwall School in Cason. He enlisted in the United States Army on December 3, 1942 and received the American Theater Campaign medal, EAME Campaign medal with four bronze stars, Good Conduct medal, World War II Victory medal and received an Honorable Discharge on January 24, 1946. Mr. Hamilton united in holy matrimony to Sedalia Woods on September 10, 1949 and to this union one daughter was born. Bro. Hamilton is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years Sedalia Shorty Hamilton; one daughter Melba Hamilton-Jones of Mt. Pleasant; granddaughter Natosha (Vincent) Green of Dallas; grandson Montoyous (Nina) Jones of Mt. Pleasant; great grandchildren Vanaysha and Vacaria Green, Montana Jones and a host of other relatives and friends.
