Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Candle 2Reynaldo Olivo and family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Lord for the life of our dear brother, Weldon Adams. Seldom do men like Bro Adams realize how great an impact and how his legacy is extended through the life of others he has touched. This was brother Adams. He gave – of his life – of his time and his resources. Our family was the beneficiary of his dedication to ministry, Christian education and missions work. 3 generations blessed by his vision for Christian education, 1 man ordained to the ministry through Bethel Baptist Church in Del Rio, TX and 1 church (still standing) in Del Rio because of his vision for missions. Our family will forever be grateful for this man of God. We love you, Bro Adams and we look forward to seeing you again on that day. The Olivos

  2. We have fond memories of The Adam’s family, especially Bro. Adam’s. He was a great Principal and pastor of our church/christian school in Del Rio, Tx. Our sincere condolences to the family and know he’s now with the Lord and no longer suffering. Hugs to each of you during this difficult time. You’re in our thoughts and prayers.

    Nonnie and Tod Briggs.

  3. Candle 2Our family, the Fitzgibbon family, knew Weldon and his family from the time he was a young man at Calvary Baptist Church in Del Rio, Texas. His mother was a dedicated Sunday School teacher and was the accomplished seamstress who made all the school clothes for us three girls right before we left for three years at military bases in Japan. Weldon went to Stamps School of Music and when he came back he shared his voice lessons with us three girls who were singing our hearts out in various churches every time we were asked. I was about 12 and had written a poem called When I See My Savior. Weldon set it to music and it was published in one of Stamps hymn books. Weldon always used his considerable musical talents for the glory of the Lord and his earthly life was a testimonial to God and his love and mercy. I believe he is playing and singing praises in Heaven now.

  4. I was born in Del Rio, 1958.
Parents were Bill and Shirley Lawrence. Daddy was in AF.
One memory he told me about church, was Daddy was music leader and Weldon played the piano. They had to choose which songs they both could do. I think some of their songs were, Victory in Jesus, At Calvary. To name a few.
I’m sorry for your loss. Been praying for you all, but I know him and Daddy are singing glory to God.
I remember alot more from those years ago, then you’d think. Lots of home movies helped. Mrs Adams and Pugs, Louise, Manual and Ricky were all like family. I knew Teri when she was a baby. Visited you all with my family when you were in the Keleen, Belton area. But after that we traveled around the world with the AF.
    Heaven ain’t far.❤️
