When Love is sent to a departed Love One, it is received instantaneously. Deep inside each on of us is the knowledge that we shall forever return to the arms of those we love. Deepest sympathy to all of Bill's family. He is a kind, gentle soul and lives in our hearts.
I always loved Bill. He was a sweet and caring person. We went to school together in Avinger and lived across the field from one another. Bill was a great dancer. We used to have parties years ago, and he was always there. One of my favorite memories is a summer afternoon in about 1965 at my parents' home in Avinger. The song "Unchained Melody" by the "Righteous Brothers was playing all the time. I had the 45 LP and Bill, Charlotte Holland, my sister Molly and a few others were dancing on the patio to the record. I danced with Bill that day and from then on, whenever I heard that song, I always remembered him and that dance. He was very special to me.
Bill was a good friend and he will be greatly missed.
Dear Sturdivant Family:Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. We are very sorry for your loss.Grace and peace,Donna Parker, Kevin Parker
