Wilma Anita O'Rand
January 17, 1932 ~ June 11, 2018
Wilma A. O’Rand (Self), age 86, of Linden, Texas, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018. She was born and raised in New Boston, TX on January 17, 1932 to James Ernest Self and Frances Ellen Self.
Ms. O’Rand was a member of the Eastern Star, First Baptist Church of Linden and the Texas Association of Counties. Wilma was elected and served as the Cass County Clerk from 1983 to 1997. During her tenure as County Clerk, she received numerous awards and recognitions. Wilma enjoyed working with the public and made many friends along the way. She also worked for Day & Zimmerman for 17 years and received many certificates and awards for implementing new procedures.
Ms. O’Rand is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Pat O’Rand of Linden, TX. Wilma is survived by her two daughters, Tena T. Harrison of New Boston, TX and Jamie O’Rand Stone of Linden, TX. Grandchildren, Patrick Barthel, Morgan Stone and Adam Stone and 3 great grandchildren, Hannah White, Harrison David Barthel and Haddie Barthel and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. O’Rand was a Christian and enjoyed her life to the fullest. She was an avid deer hunter, she enjoyed fishing and traveling. She loved her husband of 66 years, Pat, and treasured her family.
Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 15, 2018, at the First Baptist Church of Linden, with Bro. Jackie Stanfield officiating. Burial to follow in the Bear Creek Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
There will be a time of visitation from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Wilma was a woman of unimpeachable integrity and a blessing to us all as she served as Cass County Clerk. Bill and I considered her a friend. She will be greatly missed by many.
