Resided in:
Winona, Texas
A Celebration of Life for Elisabeth “Beth” Hodges, age 80, of Winona, Texas, will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2025, at the Howell Club Lake Pavilion, 11681 South Central Lane Winona, TX 75792. Arrangements entrusted to Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.
Born as Doris Elisabeth Hodges, Beth dropped the Doris years ago (too long). She could be described as Energizer Bunny, multi-interest volunteer, contributor, crafter, wine and brew maker, high handicap golfer, deviled egg maker, really good cook, cookbook author, neat-nick, gullible, impulsive, collector of quirky-wonderful artist made stuff, gift giver, card maker, detail-challenged traveler, bonsai enthusiast, try-anything adventurer (almost), loved Jesus and all her friends, talked to anybody, dental hygienist/tooth critic, loved to laugh and was famous for her addictive “crack” (AKA Praline) cookies which she shared generously.
Born in California, but calling Texas home for about 60 years, Beth loved everywhere she traveled. “This place is the best!” or “so fun!” or “amazing!”.
In 2014 she met and married the love of her life, Clyde Bruce Foytik.
She is survived by “her” Bruce (daily Gin game competitor and golf partner). Beth is also survived by her brother in England, Eric Anthony Hodges, his wife Josephine, niece Sasha Hodges, her husband David Weyrens and grand nieces Olive and Piper of Maine, niece Clare Hodges, her husband Peter Mandin and grand nephews Archie and Louis of Australia, and sister in law (loved her as a sister) Carol Hodges, widow of her brother Bruce Alan Hodges, her extended family and all who loved her.
With special thanks to East Texas Oncology, Hospice Plus, the Howell Club Lake community and Beth’s many friends near and far for your generous, loving, invaluable support.
In gratitude for all,
The Hodges and Foytik families

Beth was always had a smile to encourage others saying “it’s all good!”
I will always remember her for that.
We send prayers for husband Bruce and sister-in-law Carol to be blessed with the good memories of all the amazing times and wonderful trips you did share with wonderful Beth. We so wish we could be there for the memorial service! May she rest in peace. With love, Lyle & Betsy
