Funeral services for Georgie Pearl Smith, 69, of Omaha will be at 11:00 am, Friday, June 10, 2011 at Oak Grove Church of Christ, Cason, Texas with Brother Alonzo Thurmond officiating. Burial will follow at Rivers Cemetery, Daingerfield, Texas under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. of Hughes Springs. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home ~ Hughes Springs. She was born November 24, 1941 in Omaha, Texas to the late J. T. and Sedailure Everett and passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2011 in a hospital in Pittsburg. Georgie was preceded in death by her parents, J. T. Everett and Sedailure (Evans) Everett; husband, Clarence Smith; son, Clarence Smith, Jr. and brother, Jim Everett (Big Jim). She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving daughter and son-in-law, Chiquita and Ronald Peters of Cason, who nurtured and cared for her throughout the duration of her illness, two sons, Danny Smith of Houston and Jeffery Smith of Lake Charles, Louisiana; three sisters , Margie (James) Edmond of Cason, Flora James and Shirley Walker of Daingerfield; Three brothers, Ray (Sally) Everett, Robert (Simon) Everett both from Daingerfield Texas and Don Everett of Pittsburg Texas; Six grandchildren: Reginald Peters, Shanedra Smith, Destini Smith, Dedrick Smith, Danielle Smith and Montoyas Smith: a special friend L. W. Woodson and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends

To the family, you have my most deepest sympathy. She and Sallye(Harris)Roberson were good friends. Now they are friends in heaven. She will be missed. Keep looking to God and he will bring you through.

To the family: thinking of you with heartfelt sympathy and love. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord for we walk by faith, not by sight….yet, I will miss Pearl tremendously and consider myself blessed to have had her as my neighbor. When I think of her, I will smile!
