LINDEN M.B. Red Allen, 93, of Linden, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2009, at his home in Linden. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 25, 2009, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home in Linden, with Bros. John Spanhank and Chris officiating. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Allen was born August 11, 1915 in Hopkins County, Texas, to Issac Walter and Neppie Moon Allen. He was employed by Bowie-Cass Electric Coop and owned a grocery store in the Almira community. He was a charter member of Mill Creek Missionary Baptist Church and a long time member of N. E. Texas Fox and Wolf Hunters Association. Survivors include his wife of 75 years, Iris Allen, of Almira; a niece, Janell Cannon and husband, Clyde, of Hooks; several other nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
