P.G. McGary, Jr. was born January 31, 1937 to the parentage of P.G. McGary, Sr. and Gurtis R. McGary in Douglassvile, TX. To this union four children were born. He accepted Christ as his savior at an early age. He was a member of St. John Baptist Church. P.G. received his formal education at Panhandle High School in Douglassville, TX. His occupation consist of being a master chef, landscaper and truck driver.

He is preceded in death by his parents, P.G. McGary, Sr. and Gurtis R. McGary and brother, Benjamin F. McGary.

Those left to cherish the beautiful memories are his wife, Lydia B.; children, Katherine McGary of Dallas, TX., Ronald McGary (Brigette) Dallas, TX., Beverly Maxwell (Vincent) of Texarkana, TX., Paol McGary of Houston, TX.; eight grandchildren, Kevin McGary of Dallas, TX., Kyron McGary of Houston, TX., Chasity Carr (Josh) Dallas, TX., Chanel McGary of Dallas, TX., John Pressley (Nezola) of Nash, TX., Shayvontrrice Hunt of Texarkana, TX., Imani McGary of Houston, TX.,DeShune McGary of Houston, TX.; seven great-grandchildren, Isiah Alexander, Jaylen Davis-McGary, JaKobe McGary, Demond Mackey, Jakaylan McGary, Bailey Carr, Kylar Mackey; siblings, James McGary (Terri) of Houston, TX., Dora Watson of Douglassville, TX., Josephine Hamiton (Henry) of Tyler, TX., Jerome MCGary, Sr. (Harriet) of Texarkana, TX., Diane McGary of Chicago, IL., Theresa Solomon of Atlanta, TX., Donald McGary (Alma) of Kuwait City, Helen Lucas (Bernard) of Los Angeles, CA., Wanda Wells of Rowlett, TX., mother-in-law, Elnora Bell of Douglassville, TX., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday October 15, 2016 at the Atlanta High School Auditorium. Burial will follow at the Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

Mr. McGary, Jr. will lie in state from 12:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
