Tronda "Shag" Roberson

Funeral services for Tronda "Shag" Roberson, 47, of Lone Star, will be at 1:00, P.M., Friday, February 22 at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs with the Rev. Wayne Roberson officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery in Avinger. She died Friday, February 15, in a Longview Hospital. Mrs. Tronda LaMerle Roberson was born January 12, 1961 in Hughes Springs, Texas to Fronzell Mathis, Sr. and Jessie Mathis. She attended Avinger public school and was a homemaker. Three siblings preceded her in death, Vivian Traylor, Rufus Mathis and Fronzell Mathis, Jr. She leaves to mourn her husband Carl Roberson of Lone Star; three daughters Carla Roberson, Jessica Roberson, of Lone Star, and Brittany Roberson of Tyler; one son Carl Roberson, Jr. of Lone Star; her father Fronzell Mathis, Sr., of Avinger, her mother Jessie Mathis of Marshall; three sisters Sherea Clark of Marshall, Elaine Harris of Dallas and Carolyn Chism; one brother Robert Carol Lewis of Dallas; five grandchildren; three nieces, two nephews and numerous relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home all day on Thursday, February 21.
