LINDEN Funeral services for Vernon Adrain Lollar, 81, of Kildare, will be Friday, February 22, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Kildare with Bro. Wayne Shew officiating. Burial will be in Kildare Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home, Inc. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mr. Lollar was born June 15, 1926 in James, Texas to W. C. and Sara Elizabeth Knuckles Lollar and died Wednesday, Febuary 20, 2008 in an Atlanta nursing home. He worked as an oilfield pumper and was a member of First Baptist Church of Kildare. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Lollar and two granddaughters, Teresa Hilton and Charlotte Noble. He is survived by a son, Roger Lollar of Queen City; three daughters and one son-in-law, Darlene and Robert Fletcher of McLeod, Peggy Holmes of Longview, and Faye Allen of Jefferson; a brother and sister-in-law, Hilliard and Shirley Lollar of Kildare; a sister and brother-in-law, Willidean and Gene Hopkins of Ft. Worth; the mother of one of his children, Betty Lollar of Queen City; a good friend, Mae Blythe of Argyle; two step-children, Cheryl Compton of Bloomburg and Wayne Crye of Grey; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kildare Cemetery Association, PO Box 1662, Kildare, TX 75562.
