Monti Rey Montoya LINDEN Funeral services for Monti Rey Montoya, 57, of Linden will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at the New Colony Baptist Church, Linden with Bro. Tim Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in New Colony Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, at the funeral home Mr. Montoya was born November 23, 1951, in San Diego, CA, to Ernest and Addie Bea Sutton Montoya. He passed away August 8, 2009 in a Longview Hospital. He was a member of the New Colony Baptist Church. He is survived by his parents, Ernest and Addie Bea Montoya of Linden, son, Max Montoya of Lake Tawakoni, daughter, Melissa Hughes of Lake Tawakoni, brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Brenda Montoya of Linden, sister and brother-in-law, Edwena and Leslie Hancock of Lake Tawakoni, 2 grandchildren, Heather Hughes and Trey Hughes, both of South Carolina, 2 nephews, 1 niece, 3 great nieces and 2 great nephews. Also survived by several cousins and host of friends.

  4. Hello Family,I can't express how saddened I am by the news of Monti's passing. The news came to late for me to make arrangements to attend the services and be with family. Even if I left this minute I would not arrive in time. Please know I have there in spirit, and share your sorrow, hugs, and rememberances of Monti. I have a heart full of wonderful childhood memories of my days in Linden, my visits and shenanagins with Monti and Tony. And his gift, the sound of his music will always play in my heart.   7. I am so sorry for Monti's death at such a young age. My prayers are with you all. I am so sorry I could not be there with you. I was in Galveston at the time, or I would have come to visitation and the funeral.
